I had the misfortune of not getting a leaf guard. There was a fall and the leaves were piling up in the gutter. When the snow came, the gutters got so heavy that it caused the entire gutter to collapse. Now I have it, but I had to learn the hard way. http://www.guttercraft.com.au/leafguard
